Its core positioning is "the signal adaptation and protocol conversion hub between VME master and slave modules" - by solving the bus compatibility, signal integrity, and electrical isolation problems between different VME modules (such as processor boards, I/O modules, and communication modules), it achieves efficient collaboration among multiple modules and expands the interface adaptation capability of VME systems. It is a key component in ensuring stable bus communication in complex VME architecture systems such as industrial automation, power energy, and national defense.
1、 Core technical characteristics
1. VME bus full compatibility and protocol adaptation
Multi version bus support: fully compatible with the VMEbus standard (including traditional 32-bit VME and VME64 expansion standards), adaptable to different generations of VME modules:
Support automatic switching between 16 bit/32-bit/64 bit data transfer modes, solving the problem of mismatched bus bandwidth between early 32-bit processor boards (such as MVME162) and the new generation of 64 bit I/O modules;
Compatible with the address mapping, interrupt response, and DMA transfer protocol of VME master modules (such as MVME2301 controller), ensuring no protocol barriers in instruction and data exchange between master and slave modules, and avoiding bus conflicts.
Bus signal conditioning: Built in signal shaping and driving circuits, compensating for signal attenuation caused by long-distance transmission of VME backboards (especially suitable for multi slot chassis), improving bus transmission speed (supporting up to 80MB/s peak bandwidth of VME64 standard), and ensuring real-time transmission of large capacity data (such as industrial camera images and radar detection data).
