Motorola VME162PA344SE is an industrial grade CPU control bus board based on the VMEbus architecture, belonging to Motorola's classic VME162 series. With "high reliability, flexible computing power configuration, and strong environmental adaptability" as its core features, it is designed for key scenarios that require long-term stable operation in industrial control, power energy, national defense and military industry. It can serve as the core processing unit of embedded systems, undertaking data computation, logic control, and multi module collaborative tasks.
1、 Core technical characteristics
1. Processor configuration: Adapt to different computing power requirements
This board is equipped with Motorola 68040 or 68030 series industrial grade CPUs, and two models can be selected as needed:
68040 version: Integrated Floating Point Unit (FPU) with 32-bit integer operation and high-precision floating-point operation capabilities, capable of efficiently processing complex control algorithms (such as multivariable PID regulation, signal filtering and analysis), suitable for scenarios requiring high-frequency data operations (such as radar signal processing, precision equipment control);
68030 version: focuses on balancing performance and cost, without built-in FPU but with stronger compatibility, suitable for scenarios with low to medium computing power requirements (such as simple logic control, data collection and forwarding), and can seamlessly match with more traditional VME modules.
2. VMEbus: supports multi module collaboration
Fully compatible with VMEbus standard, equipped with 32-bit data/address bus, supporting "master/slave mode" switching and interrupt priority arbitration function:
As the "main module", it can actively initiate data read and write requests, control the work of I/O modules, storage modules, and other subordinate modules;
As a 'slave module', it can respond to instructions from other main modules and achieve multi board collaborative computing;
The interrupt arbitration mechanism can ensure that emergency signals (such as equipment failure alarms) are prioritized for processing, meeting the "low latency response" requirements of industrial control.
3. I/O interface: covering industrial peripheral connections
